Cruises are a wonderful and exciting way to travel, and part of their allure has a great deal to do with which cruise ship you choose and what it can offer. Here are five, giant cruise ships that are currently setting sail and the unique amenities that set each of them apart from other cruise ships:

  1. Allure of the Seas, Royal Caribbean International, accommodates an amazing number of passengers—6,452. This ship has something for everyone, from young families to active couples to seniors. There's an indoor ice-skating rink, a shopping area as large as a football field, a zip-line, a carousel, and even an area modeled after Central Park that has over 12,000 plants and approximately 60 trees.

  2. Oasis of the Seas is also a Royal Caribbean International cruise ship. This ship offers high-end shopping such as Kate Spade and Michael Kors. FlowRider surf simulator, miniature golf course, and table tennis are just a few of the activities offered. A pool and hot tub area for anyone who is sixteen years of age and older offers a wonderful place to relax.

  3. Anthem of the Seas, Royal Caribbean International, features the largest indoor sports and entertainment center of all cruise ships. Its bumper cars, video games, roller-skating rink, and circus school provide great family fun.

  4. Quantum of the Seas, yet another Royal Caribbean International ship, has a gondola that is inspired by the London Eye. This unique feature provides an amazing view from 300 feet above the sea. Art lovers will appreciate the onboard art installation with over 3,000 pieces that are valued at $5 million.

  5. Norwegian Escape is from the Norwegian Cruise Line. Its gigantic LED chandelier and breathtaking staircase, which is constructed from glass, gives the ship a wonderful ambiance. You'll also find top-notch performances, including "Million Dollar Quartet," along with nearly thirty restaurants and bars, some of which include seaside dining.
