When it comes to Hawaii and its chain of islands, it can be difficult to choose your destination. Cruising offers the perfect solution to see more of this beautiful state. From private yacht charters (which allow you the flexibility to stay on one island for several days), to major cruise lines that offer a wide variety of set itinerary cruise options (from just a few days to a couple weeks), cruising is an ideal way to travel. With six major Hawaiian islands - Oahu, Molokai, Maui, Lanai, Kauai, and Hawai'i - for cruise passengers to visit, you can't go wrong!

Oahu

This island, also known as the "Gathering Place," is the third largest of the Hawaiian islands and is where you will find the city of Honolulu. Top tourist attractions on this island include Pearl Harbor, Diamond Head, North Shore, and Hanauma Bay.

Molokai

This island, also referred to as the "Friendly Island," is known for its tourism. It's also known for its production of pineapples and cattle ranching. Kalaupapa National Historical Park is found here and is ideal for a scenic hike or mule ride.

Maui

Maui, also called "Valley Isle," is the second largest island. It has been repeatedly voted "Best Island" by Conde Nast Traveler readers and is known for its charming towns and its communities of artists.

Lanai

This island is also referred to as the "Pineapple Island," due to the vast pineapple plantation that covers the land. Known for being a romantic and tranquil destination, Lanai is the smallest inhabited island of the chain of islands.

Kauai

Kauai, sometime called the "Garden Isle," is breathtakingly beautiful with lush valleys, sharp mountain peaks, jagged cliffs, and magnificent waterfalls. If you're an outdoor lover, you're sure to love it.

Hawai'i

More commonly known as the "Big Island," this is the largest of the islands. Hawaii Volcanoes National Park is the most popular tourist attraction and offers the opportunity to see lava flow.
