The West Coast offers beautiful scenic views, nice weather, and a plethora of things to do. Whether you've never visited, or you've been to that part of the world many times, a cruise along the West Coast surely won't disappoint. Make note of the following popular cruise ports on the West Coast that you don't want to miss. Not only do these ports make excellent cruise destinations, but they are also ideal for staying at a few extra days before or after your cruise.

Los Angeles, California

Los Angeles, also known as the City of Angels, has a rich culture, offering interesting museums, diverse music, and international food. From visiting Hollywood and looking for celebrities, to shopping for the latest fashions, to going to an amusement park - Los Angeles has it all.

San Francisco, California

Another one of the favorite cruise ports on the West Coast, San Francisco offers an air of romance and adventure. Ride a cable car, see the Golden Gate Bridge, and go to Pier 39 for fresh seafood, shopping, and seeing hundreds of sea lions. With Napa Valley and Sonoma Wine County nearby, wine lovers will be thrilled with the amazing selection of wine as well.

Seattle, Washington

Seattle is known for Pike Place Market, a place where you'll see "flying fish," as fishmongers toss the fish through the air. The Space Needle, constructed in 1962 for the World's Fair, allows a breathtaking view of the city from a 520 foot vantage point in the air. There's also the historic district, called Pioneer Square, as well as the International District, where you'll find all kinds of restaurants and shops.

Ensenada, Mexico

In Ensenada, Mexico, just 70 miles from the United States border, you can listen to mariachi music and enjoy margaritas in the sunshine. This is also your chance to see a breathtaking geyser, blowing water as high as 100 feet above sea level, go to a Mexican winery, and also shop for local souvenirs.
