You've booked a cruise and now all you have to do is pack. Whether it's your first cruise or you've been on several, packing can be a challenging endeavor. After all, you don't want to find yourself at sea without something important. Make note of the following things to bring on a cruise and be prepared for a stress free vacation.

Night Light

Inside the cabins can be very dark once you turn the lights off, so an inexpensive night light can be very useful. Plug it in near the bathroom. This way you'll be able to get to and from the bathroom without bumping into anything.

Sunscreen

You may think packing this essential is common sense if you're headed to a warm, sunny destination, but sunscreen should be packed for any cruise destination. No matter your destination, you likely will be spending a good chunk of time outdoors and it's important to protect your skin.

Medicine Kit

Put together a kit of medication you might need on board the ship. For instance, pack ibuprofen in case you get a headache, antacids in the event you get a stomach ache, and seasickness medicine. While you likely can buy all of these medications on board, they will be very overpriced. Don't forget to pack any prescription medications you need also.

Chargers

Pack the chargers for all the electronics you are taking. The last thing you want is to find your phone, laptop, or kindle needs to be charged, but you have no way to charge it.

Ear Plugs

A cruise ship can be a noisy place with so many travelers in close proximity. If you're a light sleeper, ear plugs can make a huge difference.

Corkscrew

Of all the things to bring on a cruise, you might not think to bring a corkscrew. However, this tool can come in very handy if you choose to bring a bottle of wine on board to enjoy.
